It is traditional to install the graphics card horizontally. The drive is therefore installed down, facing your computer’s bottom side, which is not as aesthetically pleasing as if it were installed vertically; however, this mounting style has been used for decades, so there will be no problem with compatibility issues. With vertical mounting, you have the option of displaying all of its features through clear panels on the front or back (front or back).


You can enhance the look of your computer with a vertical GPU mount. Providing that there is an adequate amount of space behind your graphics card and sufficient room on the side panel, the graphics card can be seen in all its glory.

There are a number of benefits to mounting your graphics card

Rather than encroaching on any glass or other space-consuming components, the orientation can promote better airflow and keep temperatures low. Open Air GPU

Like box fans, open-air GPU coolers work on the same principle. Air is drawn over heat sinks from your case’s top, which exchanges warmth for cooler temperatures when two metal contraptions in your case are in direct contact with each other.

Obviously, an open air space does not have any obstructions blocking air flow; this means it doesn’t have the ability to accumulate all sorts of stuff into it like a breeze block closet might otherwise do. It is therefore a good idea to check yer fan before turning it on if necessary.

Blower GPU

Coolers with blowers are more energy efficient than those with heatsinks and fans, their predecessors. As opposed to using fans to cool electronics, these systems use air flow through an open space; this means that heat can escape more freely than with traditional cooling methods, with fans or even passive ones, where no power was used at night until they were turned off manually only once every few days while in use (depending on what type) so with these newer models, manufactured by companies such as Cooler Master, there are hardly any moving parts apart from two bolts which are rarely tightened.


GPU mounts on vertical surfaces look great. If you choose to mount your custom liquid-cooled computer vertically, there can be some issues, such as getting too close to the side panels, which may cause airflow interference or harder installation. While vertically mounted graphics cards have their disadvantages, they are an elegant solution if they are done right!
